Fernie is a mountain town in the heart of British Columbia’s South Rockies with deep roots, deep snow, and a sledding community like no other.
Each winter, we average 29 feet of snowfall across a landscape shaped by rugged peaks, rich history, and strong community ties. Whether you're chasing powder, exploring groomed trails, or gathering with friends at a warming shelter, Fernie delivers the kind of sledding that keeps you coming back.
The Fernie Snowmobile Association maintains over 250 km of groomed trails, five riding areas, and three day-use cabins - all powered by volunteers, member support, and a shared love for the land.
